SAR Class 8A no 1106 wheel type 4-8-0

The locomotive was built by Neilson, Reid & Co as works no 6190 in 1902 for the Cape Government Railways.

This engine is in a very poor condition, the roof of the cab is also missing.

  1. This really is so sad to see! I remember as a youngster stopping at this park with the old tractors and this beautiful locomotive on trips to the family in Natal. This was our regular "Pad-kos" stop. We used to play on this specific locomotive, having an absolute blast. Such a shame that it has been allowed to deteriorate to this condition.
